Post 100: Graduation

I really have no words to thanks all the support from my friends and family in this year. Finally I completed the course of Graphic Design at FIDI. As I wrote in the last post, I met amazing people and I hope to see them again soon. Was so hard to say goodbye to my teachers because I know will be more difficult to keep in touch. However I have some of them as friends on Facebook (God bless the social networks). About my friends, three of them are coming to my place to celebrate my birthday but I wish everybody could come too.

Gracias familia x apoyarme siempre; teachers and friends for sharing with me this time and also become part of my life, grazie amore x il tuo supporto tutto questo tempo.

Field Trip: Roma

Since the course start in september, our Art History teacher told us about a trip to Rome. Finally this date arrived and even if I’ve already gone to Rome last year, I loved seeing Rome in a different way. We started by the Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri at Piazza della Reppublica, and then straight to Santa Maria della Vittoria to see the amazing Ecstasies of Santa Teresa by Bernini. Since you are in Rome it’s so important to visit the Fontana di Trevi and make a wish. After Fontana di Trevi we went to see the Roman Forum and the Pantheon. As fast as I am telling you this, was our trip. Just a stop to eat something and rest. Walk, walk, walk, and enjoy; I mean, we are in Italy, just walk, eat, and enjoy. So we stopped at the Piazza Campo dei Fiori to eat and rest and then visited Piazza Navona to see the amazing Four Rivers Fountain and then San Luigi dei Francesi’s Church for the Caravaggio’s work. Our trip actually ended at 4pm when we got into the bus and come back to Florence. Fast, basic, funny and cultural trip! Hope to find some job in Rome latter.

Martes de Pintadera

Carnival it’s over in Italy. As I told you in a post, in Mexico we also celebrate Carnival; the last day of this party ends with a particular “party”, in the south of Mexico, called “Martes de Pintadera” which is the counterpart of Mardi Gras or Fat Tuesday. People use to go out and paint themselves and the others, sometimes in a kind of fight. I really love this celebration and this year, living in Italy was impossible to paint my face to celebrate it. So, for photo class I decided to create something inspired by the Pintadera and this was the result.

I couldn’t believe what I was living… I’m in NY baby!

and I can sail across the Atlantic ocean in a paper boat just to be with you.

Captured | ITESM
