The other day i went up to the Giotto’s tower and i saw this padlock on one of the windows in the stairs -414 steps in total-. Was so cute because before, the lovers used to go to the Ponte Vecchio to put their padlocks as proof of their love. The legend says that if a couple attach a padlock to any surface of the bridge and then throw away the key into the Arno River below, their love will last forever. Unfortunately/Fortunately the government decided to take them off because they are a problem for the bridge, and now there are just a few padlocks. So, find this one in other part was like “doesn’t matter what the government say, I’m going to keep my lover forever”.
